“Whomever this shoes fit, shall be my bride…”

17cindersA Cinderella story is a sure fire way to warm our hearts and we were thrilled to be asked to judge the winning design for a pair of shoes for Cinderella, who will be starring in this year’s Pantomime at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, starting on 12th December. In conjunction with Wolverhampton Art Gallery, the theatre are calling for budding designers to come up with a dazzling original design which will then be made into a real pair of shoes (by us!) for Cinderella to really wear to the ball (and the entire pantomime run!).

Shortlisted children will then take part in some fun workshop sessions at the Art Gallery in November and we’ll be there to help them design a shoe fit for a Cinderella princess. To be honest we’re just looking forward to playing with sequins, glue and glitter!

It’s so exciting we even made the front page picture of last weekend’s Express and Star (see above), and we’re sure they’ll be keeping you updated on the winner. Watch this space for details of the winner and a sneak preview of the fabulous shoes!

National Wedding Show Take II!

Well now we know what it’s like to be coming and going at the same time and actually, we quite like it!

If you managed to come and say hello to us at The National Wedding Show last weekend at the NEC in Birmingham, thank you for helping us to have our most successful show ever!

The stand, which thankfully we extended this year, was inundated with fabulous brides-to-be, slightly nervous grooms-in-waiting and plenty of supportive mums and bridesmaids.

Shoes flew out of the exhibition this year and we’re already excited to see photos of your big day, wearing your beautiful shoes which hopefully you’ll share with us. (Don’t forget to check out our gallery, where you can already see some of our gorgeous brides!). We were so pleased at the response to our brand new Cocktail collection too which includes some fab jewel colours as well as a couple of new ivory styles. If you haven’t had a chance to see the collection yet, log on to the website and join our mailing list so we can let you know when it’s online- very soon we promise! Check out new designs like Marilyn – a showstopper on our stand this year!

We were also visited by a very popular fashion TV programme at the weekend (huuge fans), so watch this space and when we can tell you more, you’ll be the first to know!

Finally for now, we just have to say a big ‘Congratulations’ to the Birmingham “win a wedding couple” Shirley and Luke who got married live at the show. Shirley wore a pair of Bella in ivory and looked absolutely stunning- as did the couple’s two adorable children! Enjoy your well deserved honeymoon!

Ellie Sanderson & Earls Court

We’ve been meeting ourselves coming the other way lately, just so busy with absolutely fabulous events including being part of the Accessories Evening at Ellie Sanderson’s gorgeous boutique in Beaconsfield last week. Also there were Magpie Vintage and The Bay Tree with some stunning jewellery,as well as the hairdressing team from Aveda. Thank you to Ellie’s team for making us feel so welcome and for a great evening.  We met some lovely customers and got to show off our collections including the brand new Cocktail range which has got so many of you talking already!  Why not log on to Ellie Sanderson’s website for a peek at all of her beautiful accessories or pop in to her shop and see our shoes in the flesh (so to speak!).

We also spent a very hectic but amazing weekend at one of the biggest wedding exhibitions in the country, The National Wedding Show at Earls Court, London.  Being our anniversary show, we were determined to make it a huge success and it was just that – our best ever wedding show – introducing our passion to new customers and meeting old friends too! The highlight had to be Hayley and Gary, the bride and groom of the National Wedding Show’s ‘live’ wedding, presented by none other than Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and wife Jackie! A pair of our beautiful Perla put the perfect finishing touch to Hayley’s gorgeous gown. Congratulations you two- we hope you had a fabulous day!
